We are about to start to replant the garden at the front of the centre, a lot of work was completed last year, but we are looking to plant new shrubs etc. and other bits and bobs, so any help would be welcome.

Its hard to believe , after all the work thats been carried out over the years (2016 – present), there is no work happening, the centre is fully open with a busy programme of activities and events, why not call in at our bi-monthly coffee mornings (2nd/4th saturday of the month) and check the centre out !

We are hoping to install a permanent memorial, to all the men and boys who lost their life in the colliery (132+) on the site of the colliery !
To this end we are appealing for any memorabilia about the miners and the colliery. Please contact George Arnott ([email protected]) for further information.

]]>The centre held an open coffee morning, saturday 11th January, it was great to see so many people turn out to view,
the centre improvement works that have been carried out since 2018, a slide show showed pictures of these improvements,
plus we had a number of user groups attend to let people know what’s going on in the centre, funders turned up as well,
view the improvements, thanks to all the volunteers who helped out !
This busy coffee morning leads into one of the busiest weeks of activities the centre has seen for a long time !
